SIDE SWIPE

TIPS N' TRICKS

Do not run your machine without first assembling needle, grommet and rubber band.

Always use the rubber bands that we enclose with your order and hard or high resistance grommets, so you will get the best performance from your machine without splashing problems.

Without these steps your machine will not be set up to run.

NEEDLE

SPLASHING

To assemble the machine you must use the needle with the buttonhole opening to your right and curve the rod at two points:

The first curve point is located at the bottom of the buttonhole where the grommet is placed.

The second curve point is located under the weld, in the middle of the needles group.

Once the rod is assembled, it should be parallel to the frame. Add the rubber band to obtain a precise tension.

STROKE

RANGUE

To find a desired calibration, you can start at 5.5 V on up by adjusting the stroke rangue from the top of your machine, where you will find the screw that you can move with your 1.5 mm Allen wrench.

Clockwise, you shorten the stroke rangue and soften the hit

Counterclockwise, you increase the stroke rangue and gain strength in the hit.

RESTART

SETUP

If you want to check the hit with your finger, don't do it with too much force. You could uncalibrate the initial setup and loosen the straps.

If you notice that your machine sounds strange once it is set up, you can apply more tension with the rubber band. If the problem persists, be sure to do a hard reset by lowering the hammer and synchronizing the side bearing with the mark built into the frame of your machine by moving the impact screw.

You can also add force to the blow by leaving the rubber band higher.

POLARITY

SETTING

Recommended polarity:

Positive down the motor rotates clockwise, you will get a stronger and more solid hit, ideal for large groups of needles.

Optional polarity:

Positive up the motor rotates counterclockwise, you will get a slightly passive hit, ideal for shadows and fine lines.

Make sure you have the correct polarity on your clipcord and then set your machine for one of these two options, if you make constant polarity changes you run the risk of incapacitating the motor until it burns out.
